WWE is making big changes to NXT and it is at Vince McMahon’s direction. His new vision for NXT will entail the black and gold brand’s return to the days when they were only developmental brand for the WWE main roster, before the company raided the indie wrestling scene. This already caused many released and they have more to come as well.

During a recent Reffin’ Rant, Jimmy Korderas addressed NXT’s changes to WWE. He didn’t reject the idea of NXT returning to their former days, because that could be what the company needs at this juncture.

Maybe it is a good idea for NXT to go back to a developmental brand as opposed to a third brand, which as many insiders and experts said became WWE’s competition to a certain extent. Maybe this is the right way to go, so we shall see.

Vince McMahon will continue in his direction despite what anyone else thinks. Bruce Prichard and Johnny Ace seem to be backing him up. WWE President Nick Khan and CFO Kristina Salen are also all about trimming the bottom line for investors. We’ll have to see what is in the company’s future, but they are making a lot of noise right now.
