Former WWE Champion and current WWE United States Champion Sheamus has had a great career in the company, winning multiple championships during his time in the company.

For the past few months, WWE has been releasing several employees including WWE Superstars, beginning with the release of Superstars such as Mickie James and The IIconics in April.

After that, WWE continued to let go many employees and NXT Superstars before releasing major WWE Superstars such as Braun Strowman or Aleister Black back in June. In the most shocking of releases, the company let go of Bray Wyatt last month, which certainly shook the pro wrestling world to the core.

While speaking on Ryan Satin’s Out of Character podcast, Sheamus talked about the locker room’s morale after so many releases. Sheamus mentioned how morale wasn’t affected back in June and he doubled down on his statement, as Sheamus said that the locker room still has a really good vibe.

“I said a while ago about the locker room, I talked about a couple of releases. No one ever wants to see releases, you know, I lost a lot of friends who are no longer with the company. They asked me how the atmosphere was. I said the atmosphere’s good, and then obviously Sheamus is lying because how can the atmosphere be good?

But the truth of the matter is it is good. The lads have a craic, a joke, they rib each other, you know what I mean? We’re always slagging each other off, and it’s a really, really good vibe.”

It is not known whether what Sheamus is saying true or not as it is likely many people backstage in WWE were affected by the releases. From the looks of it, WWE will continue to release more talents in the coming months.
