Randy Orton’s absence from WWE television has been felt throughout the three-hour show. Nobody misses him more than Matt Riddle, but The Viper’s return was expected.

With WWE Superstars such as Braun Strowman and even ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt having been laid off by WWE, the absence of The Viper is worrisome to say the least.

Randy Orton hasn’t been seen inside the ring since June, when he couldn’t qualify for the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match. As Matt Riddle is consistently trying to keep RKBros together, there were numerous instances where he tried to keep Orton there in spirit.

At first he had an unsuccessful attempt at trying to get Orton a spot for the Ladder match, after which he performed RKO, which is Orton’s key move in order to signify that they were still a pretty tight team.

However, when Riddle faced assault by the hands of Styles and Omos, fans started calling for the return of Orton so that RKBros could get together to save the day. According to a report by Fightful Select, Orton was supposed to show up on August 2nd’s show of Raw.

Despite reports of his return, he has yet to arrive in the Allstate Arena. According to a report from PW Insider, Randy Orton has not been seen yet in Chicago for tonight’s tapings.

For those who have asked, there’s been no sign of Randy Orton thus far today in Chicago at the Raw taping.

Dave Meltzer also reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that, “He’s supposed to be back Monday in Chicago, at least he’s advertised in the Chicago market to be back next week.”

While the reasons for Orton’s absence are not entirely known, the superstar was moved to the ‘Inactive/Disabled List’ recently. With all the talent being released at WWE, fans cannot help but worry about The Viper himself.
