WWE brought Aleister Black to television just to screw Big E out of an IC Title match. A rivalry was set between the two, but nothing every came of it. That was a puzzling situation for everyone involved.

Give Me Sport recently spoke to Big E about several things including his abandoned feud with Aleister Black. Big E was set to feud with Black upon his return to WWE, but the company released the current Malakai Black just two weeks later in very surprising fashion. Big E isn’t worried about Black, because he’s very good at what he does. He started off by transitioning from talking about Apollo Crews into Tommy End.

“I think that Apollo has a ton to offer in the ring. He’s so so good and I think we have great chemistry, but it’s been a long time with him and I. The Aleister thing was an opportunity to do something different, a nice break from that, and it just ended up fizzling. Like I said, he’s very very good at what he does, and I wish him well.”

Aleister Black is set to wrestle Cody Rhodes at the AEW Homecoming event on August 4th. That should be a big debut match for the former NXT Champion. There’s no way to tell how Aleister Black and Big E’s feud would have turned out, but both Big E and Black seem to be doing much better right now in their respective companies.
