Jon Moxley made his debut at AEW Double Or Nothing 2019 and since then he’s had a terrific time in AEW, becoming the AEW World Champion and being involved in high-profile matches.

Jon Moxley’s no-nonsense and devil-may-care attitude has reflected well in his matches and fans have certainly been enjoying seeing him in AEW and NJPW for the past couple of years.

While speaking on his podcast Grilling JR, WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross talked about Jon Moxley’s match against Karl Anderson on AEW Fyter Fest Night 1. Ross then stated that Jon Moxley is the “closest thing” he has witnessed to the level of Stone Cold Steve Austin since Steve Austin himself.

“I thought Karl Anderson had the best match I’ve ever seen him have on television against Jon Moxley. He had a great match. Moxley is the closest thing I’ve seen in pro wrestling like Stone Cold [Steve Austin] since Stone Cold. Attitudinal, body english, facial expression, and legitimate intensity. Absolutely phenomenal.”
