Finn Balor Says He Has ‘Unfinished Business’ With The WWE Universal Title

Finn Balor was one of the top Superstars on NXT as he is a former 2-time NXT Champion and has competed in high profile matches since his return to NXT back in 2019. Before that, Balor was working in the main roster for a few years, where he was not utilized well.

Finn Balor made his return to Friday Night Smackdown last week as he took out Sami Zayn and made it clear that he is back on the main roster with a goal in mind.

While speaking on WWE’s The Bump, Finn Balor stated that he has unfinished business with the WWE Universal Championship,

 Obviously, you know, myself and the Intercontinental Championship, I’ve had a lot of association recently, but I think me personally, I have a lot of unfinished business with the Universal Championship,” Balor replied with a serious expression on his face. “It’s something that gets brought up all the time: What if I hadn’t gotten hurt? What if things had been different?

“For me, it was the journey and what made me the man today. I’m very grateful for how it panned out. I can’t change it. But I feel like there has to be something revisited with the Universal Championship.”

With Roman Reigns continuing to run roughshod over Friday Night Smackdown, we will have to wait and see if Finn Balor will be the one to defeat him for the title eventually.
