WWE has multiple brands going at the same time, and many regard NXT as the company’s third brand. That is not the case when asking those in WWE management, because they don’t regard NXT that highly.

It was previously reported that Karrion Kross losing on RAW this week was looked at as Vince McMahon sending a message. It was also said that McMahon “doesn’t give a damn” about NXT. That might be very true, because a new report backs up that idea.

Jon Alba reported that WWE officially views NXT as “developmental,” and not a third brand like Triple H has been crowing about for years.

Sources in #WWE tell me #WWENXT is officially viewed internally as “developmental,” rather than the third brand as Paul Levesque’s team has promoted over the past few years.

NXT, of course, was quite literally established as developmental initially, but it has been promoted often over the past few years as the “third brand.”

This has caused a big problem when it comes to the black and gold brand’s roster and their storylines being regarded as important at all. We will have to see who gets called up to the main roster next and how much it might damage NXT’s current storylines. After all, they just had Karrion Kross make his way to RAW where he lost his debut match against Jeff Hardy in under 2 minutes.
