Bully Ray Criticizes Goldberg For Not Earning His WWE Title Shot Against Bobby Lashley

WWE Hall Of Famer Goldberg is a veteran in the pro wrestling world, having made a name for himself in WCW before making his way to WWE.

Goldberg made his return to WWE television on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW and immediately challenged Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship, much to the dismay of fans.

While speaking on the Busted Open, WWE Hall Of Famer Bully Ray criticized WWE’s current storyline featuring Goldberg and Bobby Lashley. Ray criticized Goldberg for not earning his WWE Title shot against Lashley.

“How come nobody pumps Goldberg’s brakes? How come Bobby Lashley didn’t say, ‘No, you’re not next?’ The next week he turns around and says, ‘You know what, you show up, you lose and then you go home. So now if you want to show up and get a shot at this Championship, you’ve got to beat three people. And you know what you do with Goldberg? You do with Goldberg what you did with Goldberg Day 1 at WCW. Have Bill (Goldberg) have three 30-second matches. Spear-jackhammer, spear-jackhammer, spear-jackhammer – now he did exactly what the World Heavyweight Champion had to do to earn his shot,”

Bobby Lashley recently turned down WWE Title match against Goldberg but that is likely just part of the storyline as the two are likely to square off against each other at the WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view on August 21.
