Roman Reigns Gloats About Being WWE Universal Champion For A Year

Roman Reigns is the current WWE Universal Champion and is one of the top Superstars in the company right now. He has proven himself to be an excellent champion with great character work and in-ring skills.

Roman Reigns’ reinvention as a heel has truly shown just how good he can be both as an in-ring performer and character. It came after several years of being forced onto fans as a babyface.

While speaking to CBS Sports, Roman Reigns gloated about carrying the company over the last year and also dismissed Bayley’s contributions as a top-level WWE Superstar.

“There’s no argument. There’s been nobody to ever carry the WWE product like I have over the past year and I stand on that. You can throw anybody out. We can try and be nice and say, ‘Oh, Bayley! She just got hurt. She was the best.’ Come on, let’s not lie to ourselves. The Tribal Chief has carried the WWE for well over a year now and there’s no denying it.”

Roman Reigns is currently set to defend his WWE Universal Championship against Edge at the WWE Money In The Bank pay-per-view on July 18. We will have to see if Roman Reigns will be able to defend his title or not.
