WWE is gearing up for a huge show on August 21st and they sold a ton of tickets for the event already. SummerSlam will be a huge show, but fans who picked up tickets might want to check their emails.

A tweet has gone viral showing an email that Ticketmaster sent a fan. This email was not the kind of message the website wants to ever send, but those tickets needed to be taken back. They were “sold by mistake.”

Twitter user @lola_bluu shared this screenshot along with a caption saying, “If you bought SummerSlam tickets…. Check your email to make sure u didn’t get this bullsh*t my boy got.” You can read the text of the email below:

Hi live event fan,
This isn’t the kind of email we like to send. Unfortunately we had to cancel your tickets because they were sold to you by mistake.

A refund was processed to the original method of payment used at time of purchase on [date of refund]. You should see this post to your account within the next 7-10 business days. Refund details, including which method of payment has been refunded, and the amount refunded can be found by logging into your Ticketmaster online account and clicking on your order.

WWE sold over 30,000 tickets for SummerSlam in under 24 hours. That was an impressive accomplishment and they didn’t even announce a match yet. Hopefully, this kind of email from Ticketmaster isn’t wide spread. At least one fan is out of their tickets for the biggest party of the summer.
