Brock Lesnar has not been under WWE contract since WrestleMania 36, but the rumors of his impending return are always present. Roman Reigns is holding it down as arguably the biggest name in the company in the meantime.

During After the Bell, Corey Graves opened up about Brock Lesnar’s ability to raise the value of a championship. Then he admitted that Roman Reigns is almost on that level, even eclipsing Brock Lesnar in the process.

“I love, love, love Brock Lesnar as WWE or Universal or any champion because Brock Lesnar [raises the value]. People go, oh, Brock’s not here every week. That’s okay. Bruno Sammartino didn’t defend his title every week, he didn’t do it on T.V. for free every week. It was an attraction, it was a video game boss in real life, Brock Lesnar was that dude.”

“That being said, Roman Reigns is very close, dare I say eclipsing Brock Lesnar, but you can’t leave Brock out of the conversation.”

Brock Lesnar is not currently factored into any plans in WWE, but that doesn’t mean the rumor mill will stop churning every time his name is mentioned. Roman Reigns name-dropped Lesnar on SmackDown and got plenty of fans talking, but you can click here to find out what that was all about.

We’ll have to see what’s in the future, but the next couple of big matches for Roman Reigns are already set, and Brock Lesnar is not in that picture.
