You never know what can happen in pro wrestling, especially when someone’s contract starts to run out. Moose decided to sign a new deal with Impact Wrestling recently, but he had options.

There was a report that WWE was looking to bring Moose straight to the main roster, bypassing NXT. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that Moose and WWE had talks, but NXT was a part of those plans and not a main roster jump.

There was a story going around that Moose had gotten a WWE main roster offer but ended up turning it down to stay here. We were told that there were talks, as there would be since his contract was running out. But from the WWE side, they were looking at NXT first, and however things went down, Moose ended up staying here.

It is very rare for WWE to offer someone a deal that would see them skip NXT for the main roster. It is not impossible, but apparently that wasn’t what happened in this situation.

Moose decided to stick with Impact Wrestling where he was offered substantially better deal. The amount he was offered has not been made public as of this writing, but it was enough for him to look the other way when WWE called him up to see what he had in mind for his pro wrestling future.
