Karrion Kross and Johnny Gargano are set to do battle on NXT next week with the NXT Title on the line. Kross has also received tryout matches on the WWE main roster practically every week for the past month. The idea is out there that Kross could be making a main roster jump soon and a promo on NXT made a lot of fans think that was the case as well.

The Great American Bash included a segment where Karrion Kross talked about having dreams of winning the WWE Title at WrestleMania. Fans had a lot of fun talking about how this could be a hint that a main roster jump is coming. While that might be true, Bryan Alvarez confirmed on Wrestling Observer Live that Karrion Kross mentioning WrestleMania had no real meaning except to get people talking.

“Karrion Kross did this line where he talked about wanting to be NXT Champion forever, headlining WrestleMania and becoming the WWE Champion. Apparently, that was written just to get the internet talking, which they have been all day, so congratulations to them.”

Kross and Scarlett could both be on their way to the WWE main roster. They both received tryouts, but Karrion Kross also appeared on Main Event without Scarlett by his side. That was a very interesting move on WWE’s part to debut him without Scarlett and fans called them out for it. The company later went after videos of that Main Event appearance so they could strike it from social media.

WWE is planning another Draft after SummerSlam. That could see Karrion Kross and several others receive main roster call-ups. We will have to wait and see what happens, but fans will likely continue discussing those possibilities until something actually happens.

What’s your take on Karrion Kross’ main roster call-up? Are you concerned how Vince McMahon will book him? Sound off in the comments!
