Terry Funk was on a lot of minds after Don Muraco revealed that the pro wrestling legend is in an assisted living home suffering from dementia. That caused a ton of tributes to flood the Internet Wrestling Community as so many were concerned about how The Funker is doing.

While using his Instagram stories, CM Punk posted a headline from an older article that said “Terry Funk Says CM Punk Was Smart To Walk Out On WWE.” This was a fine tribute for Funk, but then he followed it up.

CM Punk then made reference to a famous note that Terry Funk allegedly left for Vince McMahon before he departed the company which said: “My horse is sick. I think he’s dying. I’ll see you later.” That story came from Funk’s own autobiography. It was also noted in the book that “When I came to work for him in late 1997, one of the first things Vince said to me was, ‘So how’s your horse?'”

“In hindsight I should have left a note about my sick horse,” CM Punk wrote in another slide. Then Punk uploaded another post to his Instagram story which included a DM from a fan which said: “Dude your like an after thought of wwe . Any wrestler doesn’t even have u in their top ten of all time . Other than your pipe bomb u haven’t done anything lol”

CM Punk just marked out this hater’s name and wrote: “Terry Funk’s opinion > Whatever your dumb ass thinks.” That message was heard loud and clear.

Terry Funk is living in an assisted living facility, but Tommy Dreamer had much better news to report about his health status. Funk is apparently doing much better than some feared, but he is still suffering from dementia. Hopefully, he will be able to turn a corner and have many more years with us.
