Karrion Kross is the current NXT Champion, but Vince McMahon has his eye on the former Killer Kross in a big way. Kross has received multiple tryouts on the WWE main roster and competed on Main Event as well. He has a lot of respect from fans and the NXT locker room, but Tommaso Ciampa believes he is better.

Tommaso Ciampa knows what it is like to hold the NXT Title, and he misses Goldy a lot. He also has a desire to continue performing at a top level for the black and gold brand. This comes with a certain amount of confidence as well.

Rick Ucchino recently spoke to Tommaso Ciampa where he discussed Kross’ current reign as Champion. Karrion Kross is holding that title with a lot of dominance, but the Sicilian Psychopath had to admit that he believes he is better than the current NXT Champion.

“I think I’m better than him, you know, I’ll say that. And it’s hard to say that I guess because he beat me in under six minutes. I think he beat me at a time where… I wouldn’t say I was easy to beat but I wasn’t at the top of my game. I came back from the neck surgery, I chased after Goldie, Adam Cole beat me with Johnny Gargano’s assistance, Johnny Gargano beat me with Candice’s assistance and I just think I needed a break and Kross… it just lined up right for him.”

“I think, over the last year and a half, I’m sure he’s developed. I’ve watched some good showings but I’m back to being me and I think if the time ever does come where we step in the ring together again and it’s Karrion Kross versus the Blackheart, the Psycho Killer, I just think it will be different,”

Karrion Kross and Tommaso Ciampa have already went to war at NXT TakeOver: In Your House last year, but Ciampa is never one to turn down a fight. We’ll have to see if another big fight can be arranged for the two prior to Vince McMahon finally calling Karrion Kross to the main roster.
