Sheamus Has Yet To Defend WWE United States Title Even Once

Former WWE Champion and current WWE United States Champion Sheamus has had a great career in the company, winning multiple championships during his time in the company. 

It has been quite a tumultuous time for Sheamus, ever since he won the WWE United States Championship after defeating Matt Riddle at WrestleMania 37. After his win, Sheamus would compete in matches on Monday Night RAW.

However, Sheamus got his nose broken last month after Humberto Carrillo  went for a forearm strike that busted Sheamus’ nose open. Sheamus suffered a broken nose and still finished the match despite the pain.

The Celtic Warrior would undergo surgery for the injury and has not competed inside the squared circle ever since. According to Reddit user LSines2015, it seems Sheamus has a very unfortunate statistic.

It was stated that Sheamus has been United States Champion for 74 days and has yet to defend the title. In comparison, the previous champion Matt Riddle defended the title twice in just 49 days.

Sheamus’ injury has undoubtedly prevented him from defending his title. We will have to wait and see when the Celtic Warrior will be able to make his return to the ring.
