WWE’s NXT brand could be in for a big shake-up as two current champions are on Vince McMahon’s radar. Karrion Kross is the NXT Champion and Bronson Reed is NXT North American Champion; both have been at RAW and SmackDown tapings where they took part in tryouts. Meanwhile, the black and gold brand must carry on even if Vince McMahon calls them up.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer spoke about the current NXT landscape. He said that Johnny Gargano seems to be in line for an NXT Title shot after quietly transitioning from a heel to somewhat of a babyface persona with The Way.

“Not only is he now a babyface without a turn, but he’s probably going to be main eventing very soon. He might even be main eventing the Bash. If they have an NXT Title match at The Bash he’s the challenger, because I mean he’s the one they’re promoting right now to get with Kross.”

Karrion Kross is also teasing a feud with Samoa Joe. That might be wishful thinking since Joe is not cleared to wrestle, but you never know what can be down the line. Johnny Gargano seems to be on his way to another big match situation and Karrion Kross might be a fine opponent for the Great American Bash.

There are also rumors that Karrion Kross is on his way to the main roster. He already wrestled on Main Event. Perhaps a shocking title switch is on the way for July 6th’s special event.
