Samoa Joe was released from his WWE contract in April, but his 90-day non-compete clause wasn’t up before he was already back under the WWE umbrella. That was seen in a different way by many people, including CM Punk.

During a recent Q&A on Twitter, CM Punk was asked about his opinion of WWE bringing Samoa Joe back for an NXT role. “Why do you think wwe is releasing talent and then bringing them back like Samoa Joe?” this fan asked.

Punk’s response embodied a commonly held belief within the company that it is so large one side doesn’t know what the other is doing.

The left hand not talking to the right hand.

Samoa Joe was back on NXT this week, but he didn’t get physical. He did call security to break up a multiple team battle that broke out in the ring. Those backstage confrontations with Karrion Kross have continued as well, leaving us all to wish for a match that might not ever happen.

We’ll have to see how NXT continues using Samoa Joe, but Triple H was certainly happy to hire him back when the opportunity came.
