WWE is looking toward the future and they know that things need to change a bit. That will apparently come with a roster change. Although it is also up to the booking to really sustain things, everyone loves the WWE Draft and it’s coming back after SummerSlam.

The reported plan is for WWE to hold the next Draft during the last week of August and the first week of September. That will see the roster shake up, but NXT might be in play this year. That was not the case last time around because they focused on the main roster.

Karrion Kross and Bronson Reed were both brought in for SmackDown to wrestle dark matches. Click here for more information about how that went down. There is certainly interest in bringing up Karrion Kross, because they are making plans to have him back for SmackDown next week.

According to PW Insider, WWE is looking toward NXT this time around for the next Draft. That could open up lot more possibilities than just switching around a few people on the main roster. They have already called up Piper Niven, now Doudrop, from NXT UK and there could be a lot of shake ups to come.

One of the reason the talents were brought in (and others could be brought in over the next few weeks) is that WWE has a Draft scheduled for September and is looking at different talents they can pull up from NXT to accentuate the main roster as they prepare to shake things up heading into the Fall.

WWE will hopefully bring fresh life to the main roster and excite live fans as they continue on with their touring schedule. This is not a guarantee that the booking will be there for every Superstar they call up.

Ringside News exclusively reported that Vince McMahon is not looking for wrestlers. He only cares about the character and how he can get them involved in a kayfabe altercation with other characters. That is how McMahon books, and we will have to see if live crowds and their organic reactions help change some of the self-gratifying booking that has taken place during the ThunderDome era.

What’s your take on NXT call-ups? Who do you want to see on the main roster next?
