William Regal closed out NXT TakeOver: In Your House by addressing the bedlam that took over the event. Brawls took place all around the Capitol Wrestling Center and Commissioner Regal had enough. It was then declared that he will have a big announcement to make this week on NXT.

Mr. Regal kicked off NXT this week with his big announcement. He spoke about the current state in NXT and what led to this change.

Regal said he’s been with NXT since the vey beginning, starting at the announce desk where he called the very first TakeOver event. He was a bit emotional throughout the beginning of his speech as he talked about what NXT has become.

William Regal thanked fans for giving the brand so much. Then Regal said that he’s given all he can now. He said “I don’t think I’m capable of giving you what you deserve anymore.” Just as William Regal was about to carry on, Karrion Kross came out to interrupt his speech.

Kross called William Regal “completely pathetic” for crying. Then he rubbed it in that Regal lost control of the roster. Just as Killer Kross was trying to get Regal to admit that he “conquers all,” Samoa Joe came out in a slick blue suit.

Samoa Joe said that William Regal wanted to see him. Then Regal handed over the General Manager duties to Samoa Joe. “Joe, I am no longer able to keep this up,” he said.

Joe said, “absolutely not.” Then he explained to William Regal what he has one for NXT including bringing in Joe himself. Joe spoke about what William Regal has been able to do for NXT and “you cast a long shadow and have large shoes to fill, so I cannot accept.” Then Samoa Joe said that he will make sure that William Regal receives the respect he deserves from everybody.

William Regal said that Samoa Joe cannot be a competitor or lay a hand on anyone “unless provoked.” Then Samoa Joe accepted the offer and got right in Karrion Kross’ face.

Samoa Joe was released from WWE in April after a stint as announcer for WWE Raw. He was sidelined and unable to compete, and it is unknown why they moved him off his commentary position. Triple H wasted zero time in getting Samoa Joe for the black and gold brand.
