The Inner Circle squared off against The Pinnacle in a Stadium Stampede match at the AEW Double Or Nothing pay-per-view last month. It was certainly a spectacle, to say the least and it featured Chris Jericho and his Inner Circle brethren making a great entrance.

Chris Jericho and the Inner Circle members made their entrance in zip lines from the top of the empty stadium. While it was certainly a very exciting entrance, it seem initial ideas for the entrance was even crazier.

While speaking to Talk Is Jericho, the Inner Circle would discuss details about the Stadium Stampede match. Santana revealed the original plan was for them to come down from a helicopter while rappelling.

“The original idea we all had was to have a helicopter fly over the stadium and we all rappel out of the helicopter. We had mentioned that to [Jericho] and you go, ‘Ya’ll can rappel. That helicopter is going to lower and I will walk right out of it

Chris Jericho then revealed that they couldn’t do the helicopter entrance due to insurance issues and then added that Sammy Guevara wanted to jump out of the helicopter. Guevara himself would add that he could have pulled it off.

“We were told we couldn’t do the helicopter because of the insurance. ‘No one can get thrown out of the helicopter because of the insurance.’ ‘Who wants to get thrown out of the helicopter?’ Sammy.

Imagine, 20-40 feet in the air, getting thrown out. I’ll make it work.”

The Inner Circle would go on to defeat The Pinnacle in the Stadium Stampede match, but that didn’t signal the end of the feud between the two factions as the bad blood is still there. We certainly wonder how great the helicopter entrance would have been, had they been allowed to do it.
