Kenny Omega’s next opponent for the AEW World Title will be Jungle Boy. The Jurassic Express member won the Casino Battle Royale match at Double or Nothing to claim that spot. Their match was set to go down during tonight’s taped Dynamite, but that was changed around.

AEW made the decision to switch the next World Title match to June 26th. There are a couple of good reasons for this change as reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. First off, the June 26th episode will be a live show.

The company taped a majority of June’s episodes in a single weekend after Double or Nothing. That gave the roster some nice time off prior to hitting the road once again for live shows.

The move was made to June 26th because Tony Khan also wants to make it a “major show.” This will hopefully continue setting Fridays as a night when fans can get used to watching AEW. Rampage’s new timeslot will be Fridays at 10:00 PM.

It was also reported that Omega is dealing with multiple injuries at this time. The thought is that waiting until June 26th for that AEW World Title match was the best decision all around.
