Anthony Ogogo left the boxing world to join AEW. He is still training to learn the ropes, but that work also came with a pay cut to follow his pro wrestling dreams.

While speaking to Wrestling Inc, Anthony Ogogo revealed that he actually took a cut in his pay in order to sign with All Elite Wrestling. That should show how much he wants to become a wrestler because he was willing to take a lower check in order to jump from boxing.

“I’m not even on a tier. I took a pay cut to do this. That’s how much I wanted to do this. I took a massive pay cut to do this. I’m on a developmental contract. I might be their first developmental wrestler. As it happened, I just developed a hell of a lot quicker than anyone thought I’d develop.”

Anthony Ogogo and Cody Rhodes had the best match they could at Double or Nothing. That will not likely be Ogogo’s last AEW pay-per-view as there are many big matches in his future. AEW was very happy about signing Ogogo and all of the possibilities that come with it. Anthony Ogogo is obviously hoping that those AEW paychecks increase a bit as well, but he knows that will happen as the hard work continues.
