Mickie James is one of the greatest female wrestlers of all time. She is a former WWE Women’s Champion and a three-time TNA Knockouts Champion. She has broken many barriers in the wrestling industry and inspired many women to break into the business.

2021, however, wasn’t a good year for Mickie James, as she was released from her WWE contract alongside other names such as Samoa Joe and Billie Kay. During her interaction on Busted Open Radio, James was asked what’s next for her, and she gave a very emotional response.

I have such a — I’m so nervous because I really — I don’t know what to do. I do know that I am personally working on something,” she stated. “I’m working on my own little project thing and we’ll see what happens there. Obviously I have Legacy supps and stuff and I’m taking appearances and bookings but I really — when I talked to you Tommy [Dreamer] and I was like I just — I don’t even know how I feel. I’m so heartbroken in a sense, you know? I’m not gonna cry. But I am, I’m a bit heartbroken in the business because it’s a bit disappointing. That’s all.

Mickie James is a recognized name in the wrestling industry, and she can find success in any promotion that she joins. She could even join AEW as a trainer, which will allow how to use her wrestling knowledge and experience to teach current AEW wrestlers how to put on a decent-looking match without endangering anyone’s life.
