Peyton Royce and Billie Kay were both released from WWE on April 15th. They are already working on their weekly podcast and just released its second episode. Those two have plenty of stories to tell, and plenty of memories from WWE have spilled out.

Royce got a ton of attention in WWE when she demanded spot. She was passionate about wrestling, but not getting the spotlight she felt she deserved. It didn’t take long for her to receive a RAW Women’s Title match against Asuka.

Busted Open Radio recently had the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions on as guests. Royce spoke about her match against Asuka, and she had a very strange feeling about it. She got to “scratch that wrestling itch,” but there was a feeling that washed over Royce that she would never wrestle again.

“That match I had with Asuka was kind of strange. Because afterwards I felt so happy and so fulfilled, like ‘yes, I feel like I’m finally scratching that wrestling itch.’ But I had this really freaking strange feeling overcome me, and I like to think I’m psychic so maybe that’s why. But I just had this really strange feeling that was going to be my last wrestling match. It was just this feeling came over me and then it went away and then nothing.”

“But then I found out afterwards I only got that match because someone had COVID. It wasn’t because of my RAW Talk promo got me the opportunity or, you know. Every time I spoke to creative, like I couldn’t get past creative. I could not get past the creative walls and get ideas pitched. I was just struggling. But yeah, I had this just strange feeling that that was my last match.”

Peyton Royce and Billie Kay are now Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay respectively. Odds are they will both wrestle again, but it won’t be for WWE.

We’ll have to see where the former IIconics end up next. Both of them have a lot of experience and could benefit any roster. They need to wait out their 90-day non-compete clauses, but that will come in time. They are already weighing the decision between AEW and Impact Wrestling.

Where should Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay go next? Sound off in the comments!
