Lance Archer had his time in NJPW, but he didn’t win the big title. That is something he would like to fix. Luckily, he’s with a company with ties to New Japan Pro-Wrestling, no matter what WWE wants to think.

Archer has a big task ahead him at Double or Nothing as he battled Miro for the TNT Title. We will have to see how that battle between the Murderhawk Monster and the Best Man turns out. Either way, Archer’s sights are still set on Japan.

While speaking to Wrestle Talk, Lance Archer revealed that he would like to make a trip back to Japan so he can fight for the company’s top prize.

“I’ve been lucky enough when I was over there to work with just about everybody they have, obviously I’d love if that opportunity came about as far as representing AEW. To go back and fight for the IWGP Heavyweight Title, I think that’d be really cool. I’m a crossover person, as everybody can see I’m wearing my Suzuki-Gun shirt right now, and Minoru Suzuki is someone that I think many times people, especially once that ‘Forbidden Door’ was opened, that they’d like to see show up in AEW.

It’s not out of the question that NJPW would give one of their titles to someone who isn’t with the company. Jon Moxley’s year-long reign as IWGP United States Champion proves that. Lance Archer has some big goals in the pro wrestling business and he doesn’t seem to be limited to just one company.

Will Lance Archer make his way back to NJPW to dominate once travel restrictions are over? Sound off in the comments!
