WWE made a lot of cuts backstage today. They are merging departments into one division overseen by Kevin Dunn. That meant that some longtime WWE employees were terminated today as well.

We previously reported that Brian Pellegatto was released from the company after nearly nine years of service. Jaylar Donlan, Executive Vice President of WWE Advanced Media Group, was also let go.

Wrestlenomics reports that Jay Rosenstock was also let go today. He was the Executive Vice President of International. Longtime WWE employee James Wortman was also let go today. He worked as a Content Director. He has already posted to Twitter about his release.

This isn’t something I expected to say today or on any day, but I am no longer with WWE after 11 years.

Thank you to all of the friends I’ve made during that time and to the talented people I’ve had the pleasure to work with. It’s not goodbye, it’s ‘see you down the road.’

As we previously reported, Cathy Kelley was very upset by these releases today. Many of the people in WWE’s Digital Group are her friends, and she was gutted to hear about the mass firings.

We will have to see if WWE fires anyone else as they seem to be cleaning house. Keep checking back with Ringside News for more updates.

What is your take on WWE firing so many people? Sound off in the comments!
