Rey Mysterio’s daughter Aalyah was featured on WWE television for months alongside Murphy in a romantic storyline. Then they totally dropped that whole idea. Rey would totally support his daughter if she wanted to follow in his footsteps.

Ringside News exclusively reported that Aalyah is uncertain if she will get a call from WWE to continue with a storyline. She also has to think about school and make that schedule work.

talkSPORT recently spoke to Rey Mysterio where he admitted that Aalyah hasn’t brought up wanting to follow in his footsteps. If she changed her mind then Mysterio would be the first to train his daughter.

“She hasn’t asked the question, but it’s funny you asked me that because my wife, she asked me a couple of days ago, she goes, ‘What would you say if your daughter came at you and said, Dad, I want to become a wrestler?’ I said, ‘I would be the first one to train her, just like I did with Dom!’ She said ‘No you wouldn’t’ [Laughs]. I would! I would back her up 100 percent.’”

Aalyah wants to go into the medical field and she is currently in school. She might not want to follow in her famous father’s and brother’s career path, but Aalyah might be very useful as a medical professional in a family of pro wrestlers.
