WWE has their eye on several people in the pro wrestling world, but some of them take a little extra effort to bring in. That is the case with Speedball Mike Bailey.

Mike Bailey was banned from the United States for four years in 2016 when he was caught crossing the border from Canada, where he is from, without a work visa. He was reportedly in the process of getting a work visa through CZW at the time, but it hadn’t gone through yet.

The 15-year veteran wrestled extensively all over the world in the last four years. 2020 was a drought for him, as it was for so many others. Now he is reportedly about to make his way to WWE according to the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

The company is working on signing and getting visa issues taken care of for a deal with Speedball Mike Bailey

Bailey, who recently married Veda Scott, is a very talented wrestler who had a ton of momentum four years ago when he was banned from entering the United States. It seems that WWE is working to correct that issue so it doesn’t happen to him again.

There is no word on whether WWE will allow Speedball Mike Bailey to keep his name. The “Mike Bailey” part isn’t the issue, but a speedball is the lethal combination of drugs, heroin and cocaine, that took the lives John Belushi and Chris Farley.

We will have to see what happens in this situation, but WWE has worked out visa issues for plenty of Superstars in the past. The fact that they are going through this effort is certainly a sign that they see potential in having him in the company.
