Eric Bischoff is a veteran in the pro wrestling business and is undoubtedly one of the greatest minds to have ever worked in it. He is well aware of the changing landscape of pro wrestling as well.

AEW’s partnership with Impact Wrestling and NJPW has opened the doors to a lot of possibilities as far as crossovers are concerned. However, AEW has yet to have a crossover with WWE.

While speaking on Foundation Radio, Eric Bischoff talked about what is necessary in order to have a crossover between AEW and WWE. Bischoff stated that AEW has to go head-to-head with WWE. He added that the stakes need to be high as well.

“I know that everybody wants to talk about what was the Wednesday Night Wars, and comparing AEW to WWE, and here’s what has to happen for that to be viable, the AEW/WWE approach, AEW’s gotta go head-to-head. There’s gotta be a fight. There has to be a battle. In a case where you’re laying down an AEW vs. WWE match, champion vs. champion, okay that sounds really cool if you’re a cosplay wrestling journalist and a fan of those people. But it only works if there’s stakes. And the only stakes that matter are who turns out the biggest audience” said Bischoff

While it is unlikely WWE and AEW will be working together anytime soon, anything is possible in the world of pro wrestling. So perhaps fans might get to see a crossover between the two companies someday.
