Kurt Angle has taken a ton of punishment in his pro wrestling career. He’s bumped off of steel cages and through tables. There is one bump that he’s still nervous about taking that is pretty standard for the business.

While speaking on the Kurt Angle Show, he opened up about the fact that he’s “a wuss” and is afraid to take backward bumps over the top rope to the floor.

“No, I’m a wuss. I’m afraid to go backward over top of the rope. I always have to turn my head over. I was always scared of doing it, I never really learned how. Going over the top rope isn’t high enough to go backward, I know I’m going to do a full flip off a cage.”

Angle’s in-ring career is over and he seems to be okay with that. He’s still in great shape and might have another match or two in him. We’ll have to see if that ever happens, but it will also be very interesting to see if he faces his fear during that hypothetical return and bumps backwards over the top rope.
