As seen on this week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown, Cesaro squared off against Seth Rollins in a #1 Contender’s match for the WWE Universal Title. Cesaro would win the match and thus earned his right to challenge Roman Reigns for the title.
The closing moments of the show saw Cesaro utterly decimating Roman Reigns, Jimmy and Jey Uso and stood tall as the show went off air. Now it seems Cesaro has decided to react to the chaos that he caused on Friday Night Smackdown.
Cesaro took to Instagram while uploaded a series of photos, which featured him beating Seth Rollins and also decimating Roman Reigns and his family. Cesaro talked about the importance of old-school values and that he is looking forward to facing Roman Reigns next week.
“I think it’s fitting that I earned my first chance at a world/universal title on a throwback edition of #smackdown. I do believe in old school values. I believe in hard work paying off. I also believe that the biggest test is yet to come. Sunday May 16th, let’s do this!”
Cesaro will be challenging Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania Backlash next Sunday. We will have to see if Cesaro will beat Reigns and finally win a major WWE title for the first time in his career.
