Tegan Nox is a long way from home. She moved to the United States so she could pursue her path in pro wrestling, but her heart is with her family right now This is a very sad time for Nox because she had to miss her grandmother’s funeral today.

The NXT Superstar opened up on social media to reveal that her grandmother passed away after a very long battle. She did not disclose what her grandmother suffered from, but she apparently fought more than they imagined. Nox concluded her message with a heartwarming tribute to her Nan.

You can read her entire message below which she captioned with: “Being this far from home right now, sucks.”

Even when you’re doing what you love, It sucks being across the world from your family, but what hurts the most is not being able to say your final goodbye to someone who was so important & the light of your life.

Sadly, My Nan was laid to rest today after battling more than we imagined. She was the strongest, most stubborn but loving woman. She was my biggest supporter & never failed to tell me how much she loved me. I hate that I’ll never be able to pay her back for all that she did for me, knowing I’ll never hug nor see her again, hell, I’ll even miss being whacked by a newspaper for cursing or irritating my nephews…I’ve not felt a pain like this in a very long time, I’d rather take another injury than have this feeling or even have this happen but the comfort of knowing she’s no longer in pain & with my Bampi is a silver lining.

I wish I could go home & see her one last time, I wish this wasn’t real, I wish this pandemic didn’t exist so I could be there with everyone. Thank you Nan, for everything. I miss you more each day, I’m numb without you but I’m going to continue to do everything I can to make you and Bampi proud. I love you forever. Rest easy & go enjoy a Gin & Tonic with Bamp.

Our thoughts are with Tegan Nox right now. This can’t be an easy situation as she is so far from home. Hopefully, the pandemic can subside which will make international travel an easier task, but right now Tegan Nox is stuck in the United States while feeling incredible homesick.
