Tony Khan Might Not Let Kenny Omega Lose To Andrade

Tony Khan is very protective of his champions in AEW, and that only makes sense. Kenny Omega, the AEW World Champion, also holds top titles in Impact Wrestling and AAA. That might create a difficult situation eventually, because he can’t hold onto those titles forever.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer brought up the fact that Andrade challenging Kenny Omega will likely mean big pay cut for El Idolo. A logical aspect to sweeten the deal for him would be to win the AAA Mega Championship from The Cleaner.

It was noted that Andrade might win the AAA Mega Championship in some way, but there could be an issue. Kenny Omega’s status as AEW World Champion could cause him to hold onto that AAA title for longer. It was said that “I don’t think there’s any way that Tony Khan lets Kenny Omega lose until he loses the AEW Title.”
