John Cone was let go from his duties in talent relations. He was never totally released from the company as he was going to stay on as a referee. It didn’t take them very long to bring Nicholas’ father back to talent relations.

Mick Foley openly complained about Cone getting removed from his position in talent relations. WWE soon reinstated him in his previous talent relations role, but he actually has more authority now.

It was noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that since Cone was brought back he is now ‘higher on the totem pole” because of everyone else in the department that was let go last week.

The day after John Cone was relieved of his duties in the talent relations department the decision was rescinded and he was put back in his same position, and actually is higher up on the totem pole because of those in the department who were let go last week.

WWE switched around a few roles this week. Jason Jordan is now doing John Laurinaitis’ old role of lead producer. Adam Pearce is also now Director of Live Events, a position once held by Michael Hayes.
