WWE Allegedly Made NXT Tuesday Night Move For Totally Different Reason

The Wednesday Night Wars are no longer a weekly thing after NXT’s move to Tuesday nights. There is a chance that move wasn’t 100% necessary.

During WWE’s investor call today, company President Nick Khan stated that he believes that NBC will not sign a deal with the NHL. He also claimed that the move had nothing to do with the NHL move either.

It was not clarified what the exact reasoning for NXT’s Tuesday night move was.

NXT is on Tuesday nights because there was a thought that the NHL would move their Wednesday night double header games to the USA Network. That deal hasn’t been secured yet, and Nick Khan doesn’t believe it will happen. We’ll have to see if that will eventually open to door for NXT’s return to Wednesday nights.
