AEW Dynamite Results for April 21, 2021

Pyro goes off as JR welcomes us to the show and commentary runs down tonight’s card. Ricky Starks makes his entrance accompanied by Hook. In an inset promo, Starks says Page cant handle pressure. Hangman Page is out next. Tazz is on commentary.

Ricky Starks vs. Hangman Page

Page and Starks are evenly matched, Page with a big boot, Starks with a kick to the gut. Page catches Starks in a leapfrog and hits body slam. Page with stomps in the corner, Page with a big forearm, throws Starks to the apron, catches Starks with a clothesline, driving him tot he outside. Back in the ring, Page hits an pump handle fallaway slam. Starks drives Page throat first into the ropes.

Starks with stomps to the back, drives Page hard into the corner. Forearm shiver too he back. Page with a clothesline of his own. Starks with an awkward landing. Appears to have hurt the foot. Page with some forearms and hits a brainbuster for a 2 count. Page with a clothesline in the corner, Starks ducks under another lariat. Starks hits a sit out powerbomb for a 2 count. Page drives Starks into the corner. Hangman Page with a avalanche falway slam from the top rope. Page with a huge lariat for a 2 count.

Page misses a buckshot lariat, Starks ducks under and hits a spear for a 2 count. Page locks in a bulldog choke and picks the injured ankle as Starks taps out.

Hangman Page wins.

Tazz stands up from commentary, says Page got lucky and he needs to watch his back. Hooks comes in and chock blocks Page. Hook and Starks beat down Page, Brian Cage comes from backstage, goes to powerbomb Page and Dark order run out to make the save. Team Tazz backs away while Page and Dark Order stand tall in the ring.

Commercial Break.

The Elite arrive, they have the own private trailer deck out with Elite logos. Penta El Zero Miedo, In an inset promo, Penta say they should have never reignited the war with Death Triangle. Trent? is out next, accompanied by Orange Cassidy.

Trent goes for a headlock, Penta controls the arm, Trent picks the ankle, locks in a side headlock. Evenly matches so far. Penta takes off his glove and throws it in Trent’s face, Trent with strikes and chops, Penta with a kick to the midsection, Tent hits a meteora. Trent with a back suplex, Penta roolls to the outside, drags Trent outside with him, throws him into the barricade, Trent with a clothesline, Trent with a suicide dive to the outside.

Back in the ring, Penta with a crossbody and a slingblade for a 2 count. Penta hits a superkick, Trent with a rolling elbow, hits a tornado DDT. Penta hits a Canadian Destroyer. Picture in picture. Penta shows off in Organges face. Gets right into Oranges face. Penta with a chop to Trent, Penta goes for a chop, Trent ducks and Penta hits the ring post. Trent hits a big boot and goes for a spear, Penta moves out of the way and Trent crashes into the barricade.

Back in the ring, Penta goes for a pin, Trent gets to the ropes. Penta with a kick to the outside of the thigh. Penta with strikes in the corner. Trent with a exploder suplex. Trent with a shining wizard for a 2 count. Penta with a backstabber for a 2 count. Penta with a chop in the corner, drives Trent to the opposite corner, Petna with a pump handle sit out slam for a 2 count. Penta locks eyes with Orange and goes for a package piledriver on the apron, Trent fights out and hits a piledriver on the apron!

Trent with a spear on the outside. Penta translator, Alex, gets a mic and says Penta says he sucks, his friends sucks and his momma sucks. Trent gets a chair, Alex runs into the ring, Alex hits Trent with a mic, Penta hits a package piledriver for the victory.

Penta El Zero Miedo wins.

Earlier today, JR sat down with the Pinnacle. Asks about Jerichos interview. MJF says he didn’t steal the scarf, Tully got him a gift, Wardlow gives him the gift, its is another burburry scarf. Wardlow asks if it was a perfect promo? He said he cut one of the best promos of his career but he stumble on his words with him. MJF says he stands in front off a bunch of B’s to make hi look like an A. For 30 years Jericho has been outsmarting everybody, until now. MJF says he is great now, he is a top guys now, they are the best faction, he is undefeated. MJF already beat Jericho, making him better than you and you know it. If Jericho got one thing right in the immortal promo, he is a mark, not for Jericho, for his spot and he will take it. When you are in the Pinnacle you are always on top.

Video package of Tay Conti vs. Shida. Conti makes her entrance first accompanied by the Dark Order. The Champion Shida is out next. Justin Roberts makes the official introductions.

AEW Women’s World Championship: Hikaru Shida (c) vs. Tay Conti

Handshake to start, mutual respect. Lock up, Conti powers Shida to the ropes. Conti with a forearm, Shida hits one too, forearms back and forth, Shida gets the upper hand. Conti with a side headlock, and a judo takedown. Conti with a knee, 2 count. goes for an armbar, Shida rolls though, Conti locks in a body scissors, Shida gets to the ropes and rolls out. Conti swept on the apron, Shida with a running knee. Conti driven into the barricade, Shida hits an enziguri. Shida with a brainbuster on the outside.

Back in the ring, Shida with stomps to the back. Locks in a bow and arrow submission. Waistlock and shoulder submission, transitions into a headlock. Picture in picture. Shida focuses on the injured back. Shida slams Conti into the corner, stomps and a running knee in the corner. Shida goes for a cover, 2 count. Shida locks in a jawlock. Conti with elbow strikes, Shida drives her into the ropes. Shida with a superplex and Conti hits a pump kick. Conti with a clothesline, judo throw, Conti controls the wrist, german suplex. Conti witha pump kick in the corner, running boot to the head,

Shida gets Conti in the corner, Conti with a kick to the midsection. Conti with a senton from the top, 2 count. Conti with a forearm, Shida with a jumping knee strikes, Shida with a falcon arrow, 2 count. Shida gets Conti on the top, Conti with a forearm, Shida with a headbutt. Shida hits a witches shot on the top ropes, Conti falls to the outside. Shida misses a katana, Conti with a pump kick, hits the TayKO for a near fall. Conti kicks out of a backwards piledriver. Conti with elbow strikes. Shida hits a huge backbreaker, hits the katana for the victory.

Hikaru Shida wins.

Britt Baker comes out to the stage. The rankings show on the titantron, showing Baker is now number 1. Shida throws the kendo stick at her.

Miro hates the Kip business, he needs vindication. If you have a title you have a problem, he will not be kept from his destiny. Which champion will he beat first.

Tony Schiavone brings out the Inner Circle. Jericho says who cares about the Pinnacle. Inner Circle chants ring out. Jericho says on May 5th its Blood and Guts. Its will be one of the most violent and brutal matches on TNT. Hager says he has a present for the pinnacle. Jericho watch the interview, makes fun of Wardlow’s eyebrows. Santana says they need a crew to step to us. We we come from we call them bitches moves. On May 5 we’ll see the size of their hear. Jericho says there’s no conviction in anything he says. He doesn’t feel anything he says. Jericho wrote a showtune about MJF. Jericho sings… Jericho washed his ass with MJFs new scarf. Blood and Guts will be a lesson on violence. Next week will be Inner Circle and Pinnacle parlay. At blood and guts he will beat the living hell out of MJF. the worst is yet to come, on May 5th they will own the Pinnacles ass.

Billy Gunn makes his entrance, hugs the Gunn Club at ringside. Anthony Agogo says the only reason he is in Maerica is to make the big money. The Factor make their entrance, Billy Gunn attakcs them on the stage.

Billy Gunn vs QT Marshall

The bell rings a Gunn beats down Marshall. Gunn with stomps in the corner, QT driven into the barricade. QT gets a shot in on Gunn momentarily, Gunn hits a body slam, QT rolls to the outside. Gunn with a right hand on the outside. QT driven into the barricade, Comerato throws Gunn into the ringpost. The Gunn clubs runs from ringside to attack Comerato and the rest of the Factory. They brawl to the back.

QT with the upper hand now shots across the face, QT hits a piledriver, Gunn kicks out at 2. QT with big right hands, Gunn with shots of his own, Gunn with a spinning slam. Gunn goes for the fame-asser, QT dodges out the way. Agogo comes out, hits the big body shot to Gunn, QT hits a diamond cutter for the victory.

QT Marshall wins.

Agogo hands QT a wooden chair. Dustin Rhodes runs out the make the save, Dustin attacks QT, Dustin with powerslam, Dustin has a bull rope, picks up the wooden chair, Agogo stands on the apron, rolls up his sleeves, Comerato attacks Dustin from behind, Dustin hits him with the wooden chair, it smashes over Comerato’s head to no effect.

The Elite are in the own private trailer. Callis says he loves history and there has never been an assemble of talent like this one. Matt says this group is the reason business picked up in Japan. This group is the reason there is an AEW. Omega says everybody who hates what they stand for – a car horn sounds outside. distracts Omega. They look outside and the car horn is Moxley and Kingston, they run the car into the Elites trailer. They attack the trailer with a pipe, smashing the window. The Elite have run away. Moxley asks where did they go. The Elite are bitch AF, Moxley and Kingston have nothing to worry about.

Powerhouse Hobbs makes his way to the ring. Christian Cage is out next. Tazz has once again joined commentary.

Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Christian Cage

Lock up to start, Cage driven into the corner. Hobbs throws Cage out of the ring onto the stage. Cage gets back in, Hobbs powers out of a waistlock and slams Cage to the mat. Cage with right hands, lures Hobbs out of the ring, Cage with more strikes and a baseball slide to Hobbs. On the outside, Hobbs with a clubbing blow to Cage. Cage throws into the crowd. Hobbs pushes Serpentico to the floor. Hobbs grinds Cage’s face into the barricade.

Picture in picture. Hobbs with a reverse DDT, Cage kicks out at 2. Hobbs with a headlock, Cage fights out with strikes to the midsection, Cage driven into the ropes. Hobbs with a chinlock. Cage with shots to the midsection, goes for the killswitch, Hobbs powers out. Cage thrown across the ring. Hobbs stands on Cage, climbs to the top, Cage gets hit feet up. Cage with right hands, pendulum kick, diving uppercut, Hobbs kicks out at 2.

Cage with a big right hand to Hobbs, Hobbs hits a huge spinebuster for a 2 count. Cage with an elbow, and hits a powerbomb on Hobbs, Cage climbs to the tope, hits a frog splash, Hobbs kicks out at 2. Cage goes for a spear, Hobbs reverse, Hobbs with a hip attack in the corner, Cage kicks out at 2. Cage locks in a sleeper. Hobbs drives him into the corner. Cage hits the Killswitch for the victory.

Christian Cage wins.

Starks limps out the check on Hobbs, stare down with Cage. Commentary runs down next weeks card. Jade Carghill says all managers are looking to sign her, Matt Hardy, Vickie Geurrero. Carghill says she doesn’t need a manager but it will have to be a hell of a bill.

Jungle Boy is out first for out main event accompanied by Jurassic Express. Darby Allin makes his entrance next accompanied by Sting.

AEW TNT Championship: Darby Allin (c) (w/Sting) vs. Jungle Boy (w/Luchasaurus)

Lock up to start, they are evenly matched. A test of strength, Darby gets a side headlock. Jungle locks transition into a pin fall, kick out a 2. Jungle Boy with hip toss, lock in an armbar. Another hip toss and armbar from Jungle Boy. Darby with a hip toss from the top, Jungle By goes for a snare trap, Darby escapes. Darby with a double leg takedown and shots to the face. On the outside, Jungle Boy hits some chops, Darby with chops of his own, Jungle Boy and Darby spilling over the barricade into the crowd.

Picture in picture. Back in the ring, Jungle Boy takes the advantage, huge elbow strike. Darby with chops in the corner. Darby with a superplex. Jungle Boy with elbow strikes, belly to belly into the corner, Jungle Boy with a German suplex, 2 count. Tiger suplex, 2 count. Darby with a stunner, for a 2 count. Darby with running elbows in the corner, Jungle Boy gets the knees up, Jungle Boy with a body scissors slam, Darby rolls to the outside. Jungle Boy with a suicide dive, then another suicide dive, then another one.

Darby with a coffin drop on the ring apron, both men spill on the outside. Luchasaurus helps Jungle Boy into the ring. Sting goes face to face with Luchasaurus. they trade ring hands and brawl to the back. Darby and Jungle Boy fight in the ring, Jungle Boy with a brain buster and a running elbow, Darby kicks out at 2. Jungle Boy locks in the snare trap. Jungle Boy with the surfboard and locks in the snare trap again, Darby pulls the hair and gauges the eyes to escape. Darby with the last supper for the win.

Darby Allin wins.

Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page attack both men after the match, Page with a Eagles Edge on Darby. Lance Archer runs out to makes the save, Page and Sky double team Archer, Sting comes down with the baseball bat and chases them out of the ring. Dynamite ends with Sting pointing the bat at Page and Sky.
