The idea of intergender matches comes up every now and then, but WWE has avoided it like the plague. Women can hit men on WWE television, but never the other way around. Trish Stratus would love to see more battles of the sexes.

While speaking with Busted Open Radio, Trish said that she is “a big fan” of intergender matches. She things that it helped get her over as a character back in the day mixing it up with the men. Now it doesn’t really happen, but there could be some serious benefits to it.

I’m a huge fan of it. I feel that’s a big part of me getting over as a character; fans getting able to see the females and males integrated together. To me, it wasn’t male and female, it was ‘this character’ and ‘this character’ being able to mix it up.

We’ll have to see what happens down the road. WWE might be game to try out intergender matches, but their sponsors might not appreciate their brand on something that others might label as promoting domestic abuse. It is a tricky situation considering how public of a company WWE is, but perhaps they will decide to break that ground one day.
