WWE brought in Adnan Virk as the new play-by-play announcer for WWE RAW. This is a very new position for him as he has never called pro wrestling before and it showed in his first broadcast.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE President Nick Khan “spearheaded” bringing in Virk to the company. Virk has a lot to learn about pro wrestling, like the names of moves. His first week saw him largely carried by Corey Graves and Byron Saxton in that department.

The move to Vink was spearheaded by Khan. Vink was clearly inexperienced in calling wrestling and didn’t add much. He came out at the start of the show and said that Saxton and Graves would be carrying him.

WWE has the ability to make changes whenever they want to. They are obviously going to give Adnan Virk more time to get acclimated. Hopefully, he starts to come into his own so WWE doesn’t regret changing up the RAW announce team that carried the red brand for the past year. They can’t go back to the way it was before now that Samoa Joe was released.
