WWE presented a two-night WrestleMania extravaganza last weekend and the whole thing was capped off by a big Universal Title triple threat match. This match was changed around February to insert Daniel Bryan, but it was always WWE’s intention for the Tribal Chief to win that match.

According toFightful, WWE made the call for Roman Reigns to win that triple threat match and their decision did not sway. Despite Daniel Bryan and Edge having good betting odds, the plan did not alter at all while leading up to the show of shows.

Roman Reigns going over was the plan since early on in the angle, though it’s not known if that wavered at any point.

Roman Reigns’ next challenger has not been announced yet, but the Tribal Chief will need a new challenger. Roman Reigns is still riding high as the top name on SmackDown and that’s not likely to change any time soon as long as he has anything to say about it.
