AEW held their first ever house show tonight at Daily’s Place, and they had quite a crowd in Jacksonville. It was initially reported that the company expected to sell 1,300 tickets, but that number hasn’t been confirmed.

Cody Rhodes defeated Aaron Solow in a street fight that lasted over 15 minutes. The two brawled all over the arena and eventually made it back to the ring for a table spot off the top rope. Cody won that match.

AEW might start doing house shows more often. They certainly have a roster full of stars who need more time in the ring. We’ll have to see if they continue with that idea, because they initially planned on running two house shows month starting in late 2020.
