As of writing this there are no confirmed matches for the show but there is a confrontation between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn scheduled to go down. Zayn still being in the middle of his conspiracy victim gimmick, attacked Owens with a brutal Heluva Kick on last week’s SmackDown. It should be interesting to see how things play out on this week’s show.

SmackDown begins with a recap of Fast Lane last Sunday, showing Daniel Bryan accidentally hitting Edge with a steel chair and making Roman Reigns tap out, unofficially, and Edge later running in to attack both Bryan and Roman Reigns, before Reigns is able to pin Bryan and retain his Universal Championship while Edge walks off.

Daniel Bryan makes his way to ringside with a steel chair in hand. Bryan grabs the mic and referenced that everybody saw Roman tap out, something Roman has never done and said he would rather die than do. He says in a perfect world he is standing in the ring as Universal Champion ready to walk in to the main event of WrestleMania. He then addresses how Edge hit him with a chair as he was making Roman tap out. Bryan said he’s had enough and is tired of “doing things the right way” he claims he earned everything he has gotten, and that he’s willing to earn it all again, and that he wants a rematch against Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship tonight, and that he is not leaving the ring until he gets what he wants. Bryan proceeds to sit on the chair that he brought to the ring and he waits.

*Commercial break*

Back live and Bryan continues to sit in the ring waiting to get what he wants. After more waiting out comes Adam Pearce to say that the referee’s decision is final and that he can’t give Bryan what he wants. Bryan suggests that WrestleMania Night One end with Roman vs Edge and for Night Two he challenges the winner.

Out comes Edge, furiously speaking to Bryan and telling him that he doesn’t deserve the WrestleMania match, Bryan then starts a brawl with Edge before Edge gets the better of him and hits Bryan with a steel chair, with Bryan on the ground in pain, Edge exits the ring.

Seth Rollins VS Shinsuke Nakamura

The match begins with a fierce lock up, Nakamura goes on the offensive with strikes to Rollins in the corner. Rollins gets a brief counter using the ropes before Nakamura gets the advantage again and hits a knee drop on the apron to the outside.

*Commercial break*

Back live with Rollins hitting a slingblade and making a cover for a two count. Rollins continues to go of the offensive with an Irish Whip to the corner when Nakamura bounces off the corner with a dropkick to the head of Rollins. Nakamura suplexes Rollins off the ropes and hits a Rollins with a sliding knee strike. Nakamura makes the cover for a two count. Rollins avoids a corner knee strike and hit a flying knee strike, Rollins hits Nakamura with the Falcon Arrow and gets a two count from the pin attempt.

Nakamura gaing the momentum before attempting the kinshasa before a Rollins forearm counter. Nakamura attempts a triangle choke before Rollins manages to power out. Rollins hits the stomp on Nakamura and manages to pin Nakamura.

Winner: Seth Rollins

Rollins continues the beat down on Nakamura after the bell when Cesaro runs out and attacks Rollins and puts him in position for the swing before Rollins manages to escape the ring.

Backstage now, Paul Heyman is talking to Roman Reigns when Adam Pearce is brought in by Jey Uso. Heyman praises Pearce for not giving in to Bryan’s demands when Roman rises from his chair and tells Pearce that he only gets Roman at WrestleMania for one night and one title defense. Pearce tells Roman that everyone will know his decision by the end of the night.

Back live and an angry Seth Rollins officially challenges Cesaro to a match at WrestleMania. Cesaro attacks Rollins and swings Rollins around as officials try to break it up. Cesaro tells Rollins that he accepts his challenge

Six Man Tag Team Match

Big E & The Street Profits VS Apollo Crews & The Alpha Academy

The match begins with Otis and Angelo Dawkins in the ring. A shoulder block leads to a drop kick from Dawkins. Montez Ford is taged in After a flurry of fast-paced offense, Otis catches Ford in the air and slams him to the mat.

Chad Gable is tagged in and he works Ford’s legs and Gable counters a dive into a northern Lights suplex for a two count. Apollo Crews is tagged in and attempts a delayed vertical suplex before Ford counters with a kick. Big E and Gable are both tagged in as Big E hits a series of suplexes and a huge running splash. Gable counters a Big Ending with an arm submission. Big E counters with a corner slam and Crews breaks up a pin attempt.

Chaos ensues as Ford and Otis both enter the ring. Ford hits a huge dive to the outside. Apollo Crews takes advantage and slams Big E to score the surprise pinfall over the Intercontinental Champion.

Winners: Apollo Crews & The Alpha Academy

After the match we see a video package recapping Sami Zayn’s attack on Kevin Owens on last week’s SmackDown.

Back on the air, Edge confronts Adam Pearce, telling Pearce more about how Bryan doesn’t deserve the WrestleMania match. Edge tells Pearce he hopes he makes the right decision…or else.

Kevin Owens is in the ring to host the Kevin Owens Show. Owens tells everyone he never believed Sami’s conspiracy theories but he still had Sami’s back, and that he was rewarded with a vicious Heluva Kick and that he has a question that only Sami can answer.

Sami Zayn comes out and says he knows Kevin’s question. Sami apoligizes for his actions last week and says he had no business kicking Owens, and he blames it on the conspiracy affecting his mental state.

Owens says that wasn’t the question he wanted an answer to. Sami says he knows Kevin wants to be part of the documentary and that he has a bomb shell to drop that next week he has a red carpet event reveal trailer for his documentary.

Sami Zayn then references the Twitter exchange with Logan Paul and that Logan Paul is helping with the documentary and that Logan Paul will be on next week’s SmackDown.

Ownes says that he does not care about the documentary or Logan Paul. Sami insists that Owens owes him an apology before Owens screams back at Sami and asks him the question: Sami Zayn vs Kevin Owens at WrestleMania yes or no? Sami tries to avoid the question before reluctantly, Sami answers yes. After Owens got his answer he attacks Sami Zayn and hits him with the Stunner.

Backstage, Daniel Bryan confronts Adam Pearce and says he knows the right decision, and that all he has to do is make the right decision.

*Commercial break*

The show goes back on the air with s recap of the Women’s Tag Team Championship match at Fast Lane with growing tension between SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks and WrestleMania challenger Bianca Belair.

Belair is interviewed backstage and she calims she is the bigger person and that’s why she did not retaliate, and how she will end her title reign at WrestleMania but first she has unfinished business with Natalya.

Bianca Belair VS Natalya W/ Tamina

The match begins with a dropkick and corner spears by Belair. Belair hits a big shoulder tackle that causes Natalya to roll outside the ring. Natalya counters and hits a stomp before Belair avoids the kick and Belair then rolls up Natalya for a two count.

Sasha Banks comes out to ringside and Tamina takes advantage of the distraction and blindsides Belair.

*Commercial break*

Back on the air Sasha Banks is on commentary as Belair continues the offense before Natalya counters and attempts a corner tornado DDT that Belair counters. Belair hits Natalya with a huge spine buster for a two count. Sasha Banks is becoming increasingly agitated that Belair kicks out of Natalya’s pin attempts.

Belair rolls outside the ring where Sasha gets up to confront Sasha and Belair brutally hits her with a slap, before going back in the ring and hitting the Kiss of Death and pinning Natalya.

Winner: Bianca Belair

Sasha attacks Belair after the match and stands tall over Belair.

Backstage Edge invades Roman’s locker room to let him know if Bryan gets the WrestleMania match Edge wouldn’t even have to beat Roman to become Universal Champion.

Dolph Ziggler W/ Robert Roode VS Rey Mysterio W/ Dominik Mysterio

Ziggler starts the match with a quick series of attacks in the corner. Rey dodges a corner splash where Ziggler smashes his head on the post. Ziggler counters a 619 attempt with an elbow to the face. Ziggler goes outside and ctaches Rey after a Huricanrana attempt and throws him over the barricade before superkicking Dominik Mysterio.

*Commercial break*

Ziggler still with the advantage back on the air. Ziggler goes for a superplex that Mysterio counters with a headbutt that sends Ziggler to the mat. Mysterio hits Ziggler with a senton and a kick and gets a two count.

Ziggler counters and hits the famouser for a two count. Mysterio gets Ziggler on the ropes when Roode runs in to stop the 619. Dominik gets Roode out of the ring, Mysterio attempts a dive to the outside where Ziggler catches Mysterio in the air with a Zig Zag and Mysterio kicks out at two.

Mysterio counters into a 619 and splash to pin Ziggler as Dominik prevents Roode from running in and breaking up the pin.

Winner: Rey Mysterio

Out comes Adam Pearce quickly followed by Roman Reigns with Jey Uso and Paul Heyman by his side.

*Commercial break*

Roman is treated to “you tapped out” chants back live. Roman looks on in anger then Edge comes out to the ring. The last part of the equation is completed when Daniel Bryan comes down to the ring.

Adam Pearce addresses the three wrestlers in the ring and says he understands everyone’s points and that they all make sense. Pearce says Bryan is right to say he deserves another chance at the Universal Championship. Adam Pearce announces his decision: At WrestleMania there will be a Triple Threat match for the Universal Championship.

Bryan returns the favor by attacking Edge when Roman hits him with a Superman Punch as Jey Uso grabs a chair and hands it to Roman. Edge surprises Roman with a Spear out of nowhere. Edge then grabs the chair and repeatedly attacks both Roman and Bryan. Jey Uso attempts to save the day and gets beaten with a chair by Edge. Bryan tries to crawl out of the ring when Edge drags him back in. Officials run in to stop Edge, and they proceed to get a round of chair shots. Bryan escapes the ring as Edge sits alone in the ring with his theme playing as we go off the air.
