Dolph Ziggler is touted as being one of the top in-ring workers in the company, making sure to give it his all and make any opponent look good in the process. However, many fans have said over the years that Ziggler is underrated and has not been utilized to the best of his potential.

Ziggler is actually a two-time World Heavyweight Champion, having won the title back in 2011 and 2013 respectively. While speaking to WrestleZone, Mike Chioda discussed Dolph Ziggler’s career and explained why he was never given a pro, long-lasting push in WWE.

Ultimately, it all came down to politics and Ziggler not being able to get through the political standpoint of the company.

“I believe he (Dolph Ziggler) is getting somewhat pushed now, but there was so many years where that kid had so much good talent and I’ve seen a lot of talent that had a lot of potential and just never made it. Just didn’t get through the political standpoint of the company. They kept giving it to Dolph and taking it right back. It’s hard.”

Ziggler has not competed in a World Title match in quite some time now, with his last being against Drew McIntyre at Extreme Rules 2020.

Ziggler is currently one half of the Smackdown Tag Team Champions with Robert Roode and seems content with that for now. We will have to see whether he will get another shot at a major title in the company.
