We are very sad to learn about the passing of former WWWF Tag Team Champion Dean Ho. He passed away in British Columbia on February 20th at the age of 80-years-old.

During his early career he won the Mr. Hawaiian Islands bodybuilding title in 1956. He also came in seventh place in Mr. Olympia. Later on, he opened up Dean’s Gym in Honolulu.

He met pro wrestlers while running that gym, and he decided to get in the business after that. Dick Beyer (The Destroyer) trained him and he debuted for Pacific Northwest Wrestling in 1962.

He passed away in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada from chronic traumatic encephalopathy. Our thoughts are with his family during this sad time.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
