The AEW locker room reacted online, mostly in shock. Plenty of wrestlers were more than happy to welcome Paul Wight. Lance Archer had a humorous reaction as he said: “Welcome to the team Little Guy Paul Wight.”

Matt Hardy, who spent years sharing a locker room with The Big Show, tweeted out an old photo he had of the two of them on a flight. Jake Hager, who also knows Big Show from WWE, tweeted out saying: “Whhhhhhat!! This is exciting news! Let’s go Paul Wight!”

Marko Stunt wondered how AEW could hide this information from him. Dustin Rhodes tweeted out saying: “Hey Paul, we meet again old buddy!”

Taz reacted with: “Hey jobbers…this is one of the GOOD guys in the biz! Welcome aboard brother @PaulWight.” Obviously, this is a very exciting signing for a lot of people in AEW, and for good reason.
