AEW signed Paul Wight to a long-term contract. He isn’t The Big Show anymore, but the signing sent shockwaves through the pro wrestling world.

The AEW locker room reacted online, mostly in shock. Plenty of wrestlers were more than happy to welcome Paul Wight. Lance Archer had a humorous reaction as he said: “Welcome to the team Little Guy Paul Wight.”

Matt Hardy, who spent years sharing a locker room with The Big Show, tweeted out an old photo he had of the two of them on a flight. Jake Hager, who also knows Big Show from WWE, tweeted out saying: “Whhhhhhat!! This is exciting news! Let’s go Paul Wight!”

Marko Stunt wondered how AEW could hide this information from him. Dustin Rhodes tweeted out saying: “Hey Paul, we meet again old buddy!”

Taz reacted with: “Hey jobbers…this is one of the GOOD guys in the biz! Welcome aboard brother @PaulWight.” Obviously, this is a very exciting signing for a lot of people in AEW, and for good reason.
