The ending to NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day shocked the pro wrestling world as Adam Cole superkicked not only Finn Balor but fellow Undisputed Era member Kyle O’Reilly as well, leaving Roderick Strong dazed and confused in the ring.

As seen on this week’s episode of NXT, Kyle O’Reilly wanted answers from Adam Cole. However, that didn’t happen as Adam Cole interfered in the six-man tag team match and took out Balor and then O’Reilly, which led to Dunne, Lorcan, and Burch winning the match.

O’Reilly didn’t get any answers from Adam Cole. Cole was then seen holding the NXT Championship, revealing his intentions.

After the conclusion of the match, Adam Cole took to Twitter and gave a short and concise reaction to his actions. Here is what he said:

What needed to be done.

It is unclear why Adam Cole turned on the Undisputed Era. We will have to see how the story progresses.
