Edge Wanted To Face Roman Reigns ‘For Years’ During Retirement

WWE Hall Of Famer Edge made his triumphant return to WWE last year during the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. He had retired due to a neck injury back in 2011.

While speaking on The Steve Dangle Podcast, Edge was asked which WWE Superstar he always wanted to face when Edge was still in retirement.

Edge revealed that he wanted to face Roman Reigns for years. Edge noted how around the time when his and Christian’s podcast started, Roman Reigns was getting a lot of flack which Edge never understood as Reigns has a lot of talent.

“Roman Reigns. For years I was saying- especially when Jay [Christian] and I had our podcast, he was getting all kinds of flack and I never understood it because I know how talented that guy is. I could see the guy that was in there that wasn’t allowed to come out character-wise. So he was a guy that I always saw and was like ‘Man, what I could do with that guy,’ but

Reports have suggested that Edge will be challenging Roman Reigns for the Universal Title at WrestleMania 37. We will have to see if it comes true.
