WWE Grooming Austin Theory For Main Roster Return

Austin Theory had a position on the WWE main roster as one of Seth Rollins’ disciples after Zelina Vega cast him aside. Then he found his way back to NXT after controversy arose as part of the #SpeakingOut movement. He’s already being groomed for his return to WWE’s big stage.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer briefly discussed Austin Theory’s booking in NXT. He said that the company is already positioning him to make another move back to the main roster soon enough.

“They clearly have big plans for Austin Theory because of his physique, although he was already on the main roster and they sent him down. Now they’re grooming him to come back. Whatever, it wasn’t the worst thing in the world to send him back down and in the end, it’s great experience to work with Johnny Gargano who’s such a great worker, but year. They’re definitely, you can really see they’re grooming him to get out of there.”

We’ll have to see if a second chance will be the charm for Austin Theory on the WWE main roster. His first run on the main roster didn’t amount to a lot of success as he was simply a sidekick. Now he is leaning from Johnny Gargano as part of The Way. It will be interesting to see how long Austin Theory sticks around the black and gold brand this time around.
