John Cena might not be able to make a WrestleMania appearance after all, but he’s still hard at work in Canada shooting the Peacemaker series for HBO Max.

People recently spoke to John Cena where the current state of the world came up in the conversation. The pandemic also caused big problem with John Cena’s WrestleMania plans.

Cena said that quarantining was interesting for him, and he did the best he could considering the situation. It also gave him time to reflect and learn how to appreciate where he is and his health.

“Quarantine was interesting. I did the best I could to be the best I could and it was a great chance for me to reflect on like, ‘Hey, someday all this is going to be over. What will you do then?’ It was a year-long block of time to just exist and enjoy.”

“But also it’s just been something as simple as being present, being appreciative of where you are, and being appreciative of your health. This is a very tough adjustment for everyone, but we can often learn a lot through the uncomfortable. And man, I’ve certainly learned a whole lot about myself in the last year. That’s my takeaway from all this.”

John Cena said he can’t wait to get back to WWE as soon as he can. That Suicide Squad spin-off series will still be shooting until the Summer. That means John Cena likely won’t be leaving Canada until then; because a mandatory two-week quarantine time while reentering the country would halt a very expensive production.
