Sasha Banks Reveals Her Mother Didn't Want Her To Become A Pro Wrestler

Sasha Banks is one of the top female Superstars in WWE right now. The Smackdown Women’s Champion has achieved a lot in her pro wrestling career, winning every single major women’s title in the company.

However, it seems Bank’s mother was not keen on the idea of her becoming a pro wrestler. While speaking to Normal Not Normal podcast, Banks talked about her journey to becoming a WWE Superstar.

Banks revealed how her mother reacted when Banks revealed she wanted to become a pro wrestler. Her mother thought it was an insane idea and asked Banks why she would even do it.

Despite her mother’s disapproval, Banks followed her dream of getting into the world of pro wrestling. The rest, as they say – is history.

“I told my mom right away. I was like, I think I want to do this. And she was being so dramatic. Like, my mom always says, ‘Oh my god, what did I do? Why? Why would you do this? This is insane. Why would you like something like this? This is not what girls do.’ And I was like, I don’t care what you tell me, I’m gonna do it.”

Banks is currently feuding with Carmella and it is very likely the two will have a title match at The Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
